Spring Mill State Park reminds mushroom hunters to follow park rules
Spring Mill State Park is excited to welcome mushroom hunters to the park. There are a few park rules morel seekers should keep in mind.
- You may enter the park only through the regular entrance gate.
- Leave vehicles in designated parking areas. Do not park along the side of the road.
- Stay on the marked trails. Off-trail hiking is prohibited.
- Mushroom hunting is prohibited in designated nature preserves, even along the trails.
- Nature preserve boundaries are indicated on the park map, which may be picked up at the entrance gate or park office. There are three nature preserves at Spring Mill.
Mushroom hunters with questions should call the Spring Mill park office at (812) 849-3534.
