The program starts with lunch at 12:30 p.m. A meat dish will be provided by Upper Wabash Interpretive Services. Seniors should bring a side dish to pass, their own table service and $1 donation to help defray the cost of the provided meat dish. Interpretive naturalist Marvin McNew will present his annual wildflower program through Powerpoint slides and take participants on a short walk on the Turkey Cove Trail to look for wildflowers. Those interested should register by calling (260) 468-2127, or by visiting the interpretive center at 3691 S. New Holland Road in Andrews. The interpretive center and gift shop's hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. This barrier-free building features exhibits, floor-to-ceiling windows in the wildlife viewing area. It is located in the Lost Bridge West Recreation Area. The standard gate fee of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents, $7 per vehicle for out-of-state visitors will be in effect when the property gatehouse is open.
