Kid's Fishing Derby at Patoka Lake, June 4
WHEN: Saturday, June 4, 2011
9 a.m. - noon (EDT)
WHERE: Patoka Lake, Kids Fishing Pond
Modern Campgrounds Center Shelterhouse
DNR, Newton Stewart State Recreation Area
Wickliffe, IN
WHO: Kids up to 12 years of age
WHAT: Grab your friends, family, fishing pole, tackle and bait, and head over to the Modern Campground Center Shelterhouse to begin registration and then take a short stroll down to the Fishing Pond for a friendly competition.
Bring a lawn chair, sun screen, refreshments, and join in the fun. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish, most fish caught, and more. The award ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The entrance fee of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $7 for out-of-state visitors is required for the Newton Stewart State Recreation Area.
