Night kayak tour on Patoka Lake, June 11
Bring a kayak and join naturalists for a night tour of Patoka Lake, Saturday, June 11, at 9 p.m. at the Painter Creek Boat Ramp on Highway 145.
Enjoy an evening under the stars on the waters of Patoka Lake as participants check out beautiful creek scenery and look for frogs, owls, and other nocturnal wildlife along the way.
Participants can meet the naturalists at Patoka Lake Visitor Center and caravan to the boat ramp. The caravan will leave at 8:30 p.m.
Each person is required to have a life jacket or PFD and each boat needs at least one flashlight.
The entrance fee of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $7 for out-of-state visitors is required for the Newton Stewart State Recreation Area.
