Rock the Rocks at Falls of the Ohio SP, Aug. 20
Falls of the Ohio State Park will host Rock the Rocks: A Mammoth Event fundraiser at the interpretive center on Aug. 20 from 6-10 p.m.
Festivities include dinner by Terri Lynn's Catering, bourbon tasting by Jim Beam Brands Company, handcrafted beers from the New Albanian Brewing Company, live music by Persuasion the Band, a silent auction, fossil bed hike, viewing of the center's film, original exhibits, and new exhibit plans.
Event proceeds will benefit the Falls of the Ohio Foundation Crossroads Campaign for new interpretive center exhibits.
Phase one of the new exhibits will be on display in the center's rotunda entrance, featuring a new custom created blown glass sculpture suspended from the ceiling.
A full-scale mammoth model will remain in the rotunda but move aside from its central location to an arrangement that will allow for a closer look.
Tickets are $75 each or $600 for a reserved table of eight. The dress is casual.
