Raccoon Reservoir: Went to Raccoon lake Wednesday ( Oct 5th ) water temp was 64 when we got on the lake around 9:30ish. We found Fish scattered to start with in 22 ft of water ( might have been the part we went to first ) but later found them around brush in 20 ft of where we could have filled the live-well if we had kept them all---I was fishing with two other buddies , and at times we all three had fish on---some keepers--some not---wow sure was fun. Fishing with a 1 1/2 inch chartruse grub with a sixteenth ounce jig head, have some filets for supper tonight---can't wait to get back and catch some to put back for the winter--got to go,, smell the grease calling.
Geist reservoir: Lots of crappie being taken on crappie jigs tipped with minnows or curly tail plastics. Most fish were around 9-11 inches Fish are in 10 to 15 feet deep water and beginning to move shallow.
