Stopped by pine lakes today and chatted with the new guy who is running it. He said that they're open 24/7. Hes only been stocking channels as of now. He stocks 500 lbs on Wednesdays and between 1000 and 1500 lbs on Saturdays. Said he's planning to stock blues and flatheads in the future but doesn't know when or how much, but assured me there's still plenty in the big lake. Had a couple flats in the holding tank, one looked to be around 20 and the other was around 10 or so.
Bait seems to be the issue. He said he stocks crawlers, mealworms, shrimp, chicken liver and breast, but that's about it. No live minnows, chubs, or goldfish, or frozen stuff like shad or skipjack. I might go try it next week, but bait availability might be the determining factor.
