Indiana Info Fishing Report The Weekend Report
Summit Lake fishing report:
Bluegrass State Recreation Area: A few small bass being caught on plastic worms. The bite is poor.
Hardy lake fishing report: Hardy Had three keepers (Bass) and 10 shorts all on soft plastics. The keepers were all caught around wood cover in 6-8 feet of water.
Ohio River Fishing Report July 14, 2010:
Anglers are finding the river slow at the moment. They are reporting flatheads in the 20 to 26-inch range. Try chicken liver, fished with no weight at drop offs of about 15 to 20 feet.

WATER CONDITIONS: The main river is dropping slowly. Water temperatures are 79 to 80 degrees.

FISHING AREA: Ohio River
WATER CONDITIONS: Water levels are at 29.5 close to normal; normal pool is 29.9 feet. Water temperatures are near 80 degrees. Fishing is good!
FISH: Crappie ... Slower; Fishermen are fishing the tributaries in deeper water levels with jigs and minnows.
FISH: Bluegill ... Fair to Good; Fish are biting and fun to catch! Crickets are popular.
FISH: Largemouth Bass ...Fair to Good; Creeks are best on both the Il and KY side; anglers using minnows, night crawlers, and lures near brush and cover; best early and late. 5 tournaments held recently; 12.78 total pounds won one of them and the big fish weighed in at 4.38 pounds. 60 boats or more have been participating in the tournaments.
FISH: Catfish ... Good; Fish are biting on larger minnows, night crawlers, liver, and stink bait in both the creeks and the main river. Trot lines and bank poles are also producing.

FISHING AREA: Ohio River - Shawneetown and Metropolis Areas
WATER CONDITIONS: The river is fairly steady but dropping to 17.2 feet; anglers have been catching some fish from the backwater areas. Shawneetown levels are at 17.2 and Brookport at 21.5 feet.
FISH: Crappie ... Fair; Anglers using minnows in deeper water off points near cover.
FISH: Bluegill ... Good; Farm ponds best; crickets are popular.
FISH: Catfish ... Good; The main river is producing from a boat and bank poles; anglers using cut bait, night crawlers, and stink bait.
NOTE: Fort Massac Fish Market at Metropolis has bait. Be Safe!

WATER CONDITIONS: The river levels are slowly dropping, the Grand Chain gage site levels are at 31.5 feet with 42.0 feet being flood stage. Cario is at 33.6 feet with 40 feet being flood stage.
FISH: Bluegill ... Good; Lots of crickets and a few red wigglers selling at the bait shop this week; best results in area ponds and lakes.
FISH: Catfish ... Good; Night crawlers are producing for the anglers. Fish from a boat or off the bank.

Brookville Reservoir fishing report: A good channel catfish bite on nightcrawlers how-ever lots of small fish being caught. No other reports available.
Farm Ponds: Late evening and early morning hours are good for bluegill and bass. Bigger bluegill are in 15 to 25 deep feet of water. Fish on bottom with redworms. Bass are hitting plastics in 6 to 10 feet of water.
Eagle Creek reservoir fishing report: crappie are in 12-15' of water with a poor bite.
Monroe reservoir fishing report: Bass are deep and being caught on outside weedlines near channel drops and structure. Some crappie being caught deep in 25 to 35 feet deep water in the main lake. Catfishing is fair for channels catfish on bottom with cut bait, shad guts, and nightcrawlers.
Patoka Lake fishing report: Slow, Slow, Slow ! Some crappie being taken at night using lights. Nothing very big.
Greene-Sullivan, Linton Indiana Fishing Report: Fished Graveyard Lake in Greene-Sullivan yesterday afternoon. It was a nice day, started hot then rained a little to cool everything off. Fishing was slow most of the day. Did manage a 2 lber on a buzzbait. Caught a nice crappie about 20' down on a swimbait. Right before it was too dark to see I caught a ton of bass ranging from 12" to 15" on the buzzbait and a rattlin chug bug.
