Description : Indiana is a state known for its sports, especially racing and football, but the state has an array of other adventures to explore as well. Historical landmarks, exciting festivals, intriguing museums, beautiful landscapes, and supreme dining all characterize the state as well and many visitors come every year to explore the many exciting options in Indiana. The state is the perfect place for a quiet, romantic getaway with that special person, perfect for the much needed and long overdue family vacation, and great for a fun getaway with old friends. Wherever you go in Indiana, whatever your interests are, and wherever you decide to stay you are sure to have a time to remember no matter who you vacation with or when you do it.
Outdoor adventures are one of the most common reasons for visiting the state of Indiana. Throughout the state visitors can find the perfect spots for whatever kind of outdoor adventure they enjoy most. In West Lafayette visitors can get a glimpse of untouched nature at the Celery Bog Nature Area, or hike a trail at the Prophetstown State Park. In Morengo and Maukport visitors can explore the wonderful mystery of caves at the Morengo Cave or Squire Boone Caverns. In Frankfort travelers can enjoy some family fun at Camp Cullom and its Prairie Grass Observatory and in Indianapolis the Caribbean Cove Indoor Water Park. The Clifty Falls State Park in Madison offers travelers a serene setting for camping, hiking, and swimming.
