For immediate release: Aug 09, 2010 Posted by: [DNR] Contact: Marquita Manley Phone: (812) 829-4344 Email: dnrnews@dnr.in.gov Get "Wild About Wildlife" at McCormick's Creek SP, Aug. 14 The 10th annual Wild About Wildlife event at McCormick's Creek State Park will take place on Saturday, Aug. 14, at the park's nature center. Representatives from WildCare Inc. and park naturalists will introduce wildlife animals to the public from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. The program will allow visitors to see the animals while listening to engaging information about each. Featured animals are the Virginia opossum, American crow, black rat snake, Eastern box turtle, Eurasian barn owl, and broad-winged hawk. Visitors will also have an opportunity to dissect owl pellets to see what Indiana owls have been eating. The animal presentations are free; however, regular park admission of $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle will apply.
