For immediate release: Sep 13, 2010 Posted by: [DNR] Contact: Leslie Grow Phone: (812) 794-2244 Email: dnrnews@dnr.in.gov Raptor Days at Hardy Lake, Sept. 24-26 "Raptor Days," an annual event that highlights the area's natural resources and wildlife at Hardy Lake, will take place Sept. 24-26. The event will include live bird of prey presentations, osprey/eagle watches on the lake, tours of the Dwight Chamberlain Raptor Center, a silent auction and much more. Schools Day is Friday, Sept. 24. All schools, including home schools and scout groups, as well as the public, are welcome. Scheduled events include live bird of prey presentations, crafts, games, and wagon tours of Hardy Lake wildlife areas. Schools and groups should register in advance by calling (812) 794-2244. Saturday morning, from 7 to 10 a.m., the Friends of Hardy Lake group will offer an all-you- can-eat breakfast as a fund raiser for the Raptor Center; other events begin at 9 a.m. and run throughout the day and into the evening. Camping is still available at Hardy Lake for Raptor Days weekend. For camping reservations call 1-866-622-6746.
