DNR to hold open house on Starve Hollow Lake project, Oct. 27
An open-house meeting to garner public opinion about a project to remove accumulated sediment from Starve Hollow Lake will be held by the DNR Division of Forestry on Oct. 27.
The goal of the project is to restore the recreational and watershed protection values of the popular lake.
The open house will be held at the Starve Hollow SRA Nature Center from 5 to 6:30 p.m. A project overview will be given by DNR Forestry at 5:30 p.m.
During the open house the DNR will present information about the condition of the lake and what a sediment-removal project might look like, as well as listening to input.
