Ghost Tales, other stories of the season at Pokagon SP, Oct. 30
Pokagon State Park will play host to the 19th Annual Ghost Tales and other Stories of the Season event, Saturday, Oct. 30.
Local professional storytellers Lou Ann Homan and Steve Etheridge will perform in the park's CCC Shelter. There will be two sessions, one at 6:30 p.m. for parents with younger children and one at 8:30 p.m. for older children and adults. A program fee for each session of $1 per person will be charged. Guests should plan to attend just one session. Seating is limited.
Benches and picnic tables will be provided, but there will be some space for lawn chairs. Bringing blankets may also ensure more comfortable seating in the unheated building.
Parking is available in the North Beach Parking Lot. A flashlight is recommended for the walk back to the shelter. Early arrival is recommended for this popular event.
The evening is sponsored by Pokagon State Park Interpretive Services and the Potawatomi Inn.
The normal park entrance fee of $5 per in-state vehicle or $7 per out-of-state vehicles will charged or guests can use a valid annual entrance pass. Both are available at the park front gate. For further information, call (260) 833-2012.
