Celebrate Christmas in the Village at Spring Mill State Park, Dec. 3 and 4
The Pioneer Village at Spring Mill State Park will be open one last time this season, for the annual Christmas in the Village, Friday, Dec. 3, from 5-9 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 4, from 1-9 p.m.
Heritage interpreters will be baking cookies and making decorations, as they prepare to celebrate a late-1800s Christmas. During the evening hours, local musicians will fill the air with seasonal songs. Visitors can also enjoy wassail and cookies in the tavern.
Luminaries will light the way to an authentic 1800s Santa Claus. Children can whisper their Christmas wishes, and discover how Santa has changed over the last 150 years.
The Village Mercantile will also be open during Christmas in the Village, selling hand-crafted items by heritage artisans, pioneer toys, traditional candy, and other unique gifts. Gift baskets will also be available.
Park admission during the event is $5 per vehicle for in-state residents and $7 per vehicle for out-of-state residents.
