"Indiana Dunes 101 and Project WILD" workshop, Jan. 22
"Indiana Dunes 101 and Project WILD," a professional development workshop for educators, will be offered Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m CST at the Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
The workshop will introduce participants to a wide variety of supplemental curriculum activities from Project WILD and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. It will also help increase participants' skills in using the resources with their students at the Indiana Dunes. Activities have been linked to Indiana and national standards.
Participants will receive a guided field trip to the dunes, lunch, the Project WILD Terrestrial activity guide, and education materials from Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
The workshop is made available through Indiana Project WILD, a program of the DNR Division of Fish and Wildlife.
The cost of the workshop is $40. To register, contact the Dunes Learning Center at (219) 395-9555 or at alassale@duneslearningcenter.org. The registration deadline is Jan. 14.
