Backyard bird count at Chain O' Lakes SP, Feb. 19
Chain O 'Lakes State Park is host to a backyard bird count hike on Saturday, Feb. 19. Participants should meet at the nature center by 9:30 a.m.
Both new and experienced birders are welcome to participate. Veteran birders will be paired with inexperienced birders. The collected data will provide information about the status of birds in the area. It's also used to create real-time snapshots of the birds of North America.
Participants should dress for the weather and trail conditions.
